Embracing the Bump

Early on in this pregnancy, I hit with horrible morning sickness and hiding at home. Lately, I’ve been embracing the bump and enjoying these last few months of being pregnant. I woke up this morning and told my husband, “Babe… I am really loving my body this time around!” and took a quick trip down memory lane when I was pregnant with Penelope.

I didn’t NOT like my body the first time. I think I was just shocked at how much the body changes in these 9 months. I didn’t take enough photos of my growing belly and I think I was more focused on all of my not-so-pleasant symptoms instead. I have a few videos saved on my phone during the pregnancy, but they were all of bump close ups while Penelope was kicking inside! I’m telling you, it freaked me out more than anything!

I’m not sure if it’s because of the fact that Lance and I have already decided that this will be our last baby, but I’ve been more aware of the changes happening to my body in a very beautiful and grateful way. I’ve made it a point to avoid the sweats as much as possible and dress up the bump whenever I can.

Excuse me if I go overboard with the bump photos. Like I said, I just didn’t do it enough the first time, and I may not get the chance to do it again.

By the way! This maternity dress is from Bumpsuit! It’s the softest fabric my belly and body have felt this pregnancy, hugging every curve in the most flattering way. Double lined so the bump has extra support! It’s BEYOND COMFORTABLE! I’m wearing the Serena in Olive. If you use my code “ROCIO” you can get 20% off of your Bumpsuit purchase!
