We’ve made it to the 1 year mark nursing my baby River and I am just about ready to completely wean her off of breastmilk. In deciding which milk to go with, I remembered how much we loved Horizon Organic® Growing Years® for our first baby. So naturally, it was the obvious choice when getting our baby to start drinking whole milk.
I was chatting with another mom who is about to start introducing whole milk soon and realized that not everyone knew about Horizon Organic® Growing Years®. I thought everyone did! We’ve been buying Horizon Organic® Growing Years® since Penelope turned 1. The only difference is that Penelope was combination fed as an infant (both breastmilk and formula). River is exclusively breastfed, and almost exclusively nursed. Thankfully, the transition from formula/breastmilk to whole milk with Horizon Organic® Growing Years® couldn’t have gone any more smoothly! Actually, the hardest part was transitioning to drinking from a straw cup!
Horizon Organic® Growing Years® was developed with Pediatricians to provide key nutrients for kids like DHA Omega-3, prebiotics, and choline! And not only is it great for our baby, but our toddler loves it, too! Thank goodness for that because we’re in the thick of the picky eating phase. We serve Horizon Organic® Growing Years® with each meal so at the very least, if she doesn’t EAT anything on her plate, we know she is still getting key nutrients in all that dairy goodness!
From the beginning stages of whole milk to the picky toddler phase, Horizon Organic® Growing Years® is a milk you can count on to give your kids the nutrients they need in the early growing years! Want more info on where you can find Horizon Organic® Growing Years®? Visit Horizon.com here.
