Ruggable In Our Living Room

I can’t believe it’s been nearly 5 months since we’ve moved into Casita Garza! We bought our first home together back in September and honestly have done the bare minimum in sprucing because we were so focused on getting ready for this baby!! So let me be real, we’ve got a lot of mismatched furniture. We’ve got a Pinterest board full of ideas and inspiration – what we WANT the inside of our home to look like… we just haven’t had the time (or energy , ha!). But little by little we’re getting back into the swing of sprucing, and it all started with a rug – A Ruggable Rug!

I’m a firm believer that rugs really make a house feel like a home. There’s something about bare and super exposed floors that give off cold vibes so having a warm and cozy feel indoors is really what I wanted for our space! And because I’m indecisive, it took me nearly 3 weeks to pick out a rug. This was going to be the starting point for our Living Room, and then I’d work around it. My plan is to pull pieces of furniture that match the mood and vibe of our rug. With a little help from some of my closest friends and family… we decided on this one by Ruggable! It’s the Sarrah Hazel Rug! We went with the 9×12 as it was the best fit for the size of our living room 🤎

I wanted something that was kid and pet friendly, so the fact that this rug is machine washable – total game changer!

We got ours with the cushioned bottom so there could be lots of play for our toddler and newborn on the floor without worry of hitting the hard wood.

There are lots of other spaces in the house that I’m looking to spruce up with rugs: dining, bathrooms, bedroom… but I think this first big purchase for the home really just sets the tone for us! I think the next big purchase for the living room will be a new sofa. Ours is too small for the 4 of us 😅
