5 Minute Hairstyle For The Holidays

Oh, the holidays! So much to do, but it feels like there is never enough time in the day! From the shopping to the decorating and the celebrating, who truly has time to get ready for it all? I’m always up for getting together with friends for networking holiday parties. The only problem is that 9 out of 10 times, it’s a last minute invitation! If you’re a curly girl like me, you know that unless your curls are flawless AT ALL TIMES, last minute just doesn’t cut it! I’m here to save you some time, girl! Here’s my go-to up-do for the holidays!

With my luck, I get party invites on days when I haven’t washed my hair. Since my curls are finer, the volume tends to fluff out rather than up. Plus, during the colder months, I like to add Jamaican black castor oil to my scalp before going to bed to strengthen my hair. If an invite takes me by surprise, I can surely bet that I’ll have flat top! Here’s where the Dove Volume and Fullness Dry Shampoo comes into play! It springs my curls back to life by building body and bounce in just a few sprays. It smells AMAZING and the lightweight formula nourishes without weighing my hair down. I don’t have to worry about oily roots because it instantly refreshes and cleans by absorbing excess oil. Overall, it’s just a convenient way to revive your hair between washes – because seriously, who has time to wash their curls for a last minute party? After a few sprays along the roots, I massage it in and the flat top is gone!

For the ridiculously easy hairstyle, all you need is a headband of sorts. I found this gold one at local beauty store. If you’re celebrating during the holidays, find a headband that’s festive!  Just place it on your head like a crown. Step one… that’s basically it. Super easy and you’re almost done!

Next, take sections of your hair at a time, tuck them into the headband and pull through! Once you’ve pulled all of your hair through the headband, take whatever pieces are left and just tuck them into the headband and you’re all set. To help keep the hairstyle in place, I finish the look with TRESemmé® TRES TWO Extra Hold Hair Spray. I absolutely hate crunchy curls or just crunchy hair in general! This hair spray is great because it leaves no stiffness. It just gives water-free, humidity resistant flexible hold. It’s also great at controlling flyaways! 

Seriously y’all… this hairstyle took less than 5 minutes to do! I’m hoping this hairstyle helps to save some lives during this busy holiday season! Okay, maybe saving lives is a bit of an exaggeration but definitely saving time!
